The Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California is a long drive, but when you leave Dallas, Texas with the temperature 18 degrees and dropping to spend the weekend in sunshiny 75 degree weather it does lessen the pain! Such was the case as “KOMODO Trackside” made its way to attend the first race of the season for WERA West. We pitted with Ray Thibedeau and Josh Mosley of EVO Racing; two of our Racing Reps who compete in the WERA West and CCS Southwest series.
Ray and Josh used this race to “dial in “their new Kawasaki motorcycles, and to get the “feel” of the WERA West.
The racing was great, weather perfect and family and friends in Dallas “hated me” as I reveled in the warm and balmy weather of southern California.
By the way, if you ever attend a race at Fontana, cross over the “10” and drive 2.5 miles and eat at Poncho Villas Mexican Restaurant: it will be on your left. Let me tell you as a Texan, and a fan of Tex Mex, they serve good stuff!
See you next month, Lord willing, from Las Vegas!
