 Riders come and go. This is a known fact. The average racing career spans a short 3 years, but that’s not the case with Joe Prussiano. Joe is a racer who has covered a lot of tracks over the past 18 years. Not only is Joe fast, he’s smooth and he’s not a crasher. Joe has quite the racers’ resume: WERA, CMRA, AMA, Pike’s Peak and even World Endurance. Wow…I think Joe has earned a lot of racer’s respect and doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone. Joe is a Pro who KNOWS his craft.

 Komodo builds the most durable and protective racing leathers we've yet tested, so we were excited when they announced their intention to offer a suit aimed at the trackday/street rider. It got more interesting when Komodo asked TrackdayMag.com to consult on the project during the design phase. While this magazine's opinions are not always taken seriously by some suit manufacturers, Komodo was one company which we felt sure would give consideration to our suggestions.
With many brands, the terms "Race," "Trackday" and "Street" often seem to denote descending rungs on the ladder of protection. We heartily disagree with this philosophy. Does a track crash offer less potential for bodily harm if trophies aren't at stake? .

 Trackdays can be a lot of fun, especially when the day is completely dedicated to motorcycles. We were at Eagles Canyon Raceway and let me tell you, they know how to make you feel at home! The day was dedicated to bikes only (heaven!) and they catered in a great lunch from a local barbecue place. The weather was warm and the event was well attended, but it wasn’t crowded.
On this track day, we brought in a vintage stallion, a 2001 Honda CBR 929rr. Ahhh, fuel injection, 17 inch tires on both ends, titanium exhaust and a wheelbase of 54.5 inches. The 929 is a great street bike and it did win Formula Extreme that year, but that was a factory works bike.

 Like many other companies, the start of Freestyle Ingenuity (FI) was literally by accident. After several of my own personal mishaps resulting in costly damage to my street bike, I began research to develop a better way to protect my bike. This came in the form of an engine protection cage. As I had hoped, over the next several months, the cage prevented thousands of dollars worth of damage to my street bike when it contacted the ground. This unexpectedly resulted in producing engine protection cages in great quantity due to the fact that almost everyone that saw the cage asked me to build them one.
